Meet Denny

Denny Vandermause, LMHP, DCSW, specializes in helping adults navigate life’s challenges and major transitions. He works with individuals who feel overwhelmed, burnt out, bored, or stuck in cycles of overthinking. His approach is warm, down-to-earth, and practical. In his work, he combines deep empathy with unconditional positive regard to help clients find relief and build confidence. He believes therapy should feel like a safe, supportive conversation—a true partnership where clients feel fully heard.
Denny is a longtime enthusiast of analytical psychology and recently completed a four-year didactic training program through the Heartland Association of Jungian Analysts. He is a graduate of Sacred Heart Catholic Seminary in Oneida, Wisconsin, and earned both a BA in Sociology and a Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
With over 40 years of experience as a clinical social worker in both public and private agencies, he has earned the Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (DCSW) certification from the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
Outside of his professional work, Denny enjoys hiking and biking local trails, as well as spending time with his family and three dogs at their Northwoods cabin. He welcomes those who are ready to take the first step toward a more grounded life.
