Meet Dawn

Dawn provides telehealth therapy in a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where clients are encouraged to show up exactly as they are.
Let’s face it...starting therapy can feel awkward or scary!
Sitting down with someone you don’t know and talking about your feelings, relationships, past, anxiety, or the thoughts running through your head at 2 a.m.? Yeah…that can feel like a lot, and you might be thinking…"Never will I!”
That’s why Dawn believes therapy doesn’t have to feel cold, clinical, uncomfortable, or overly serious all the time.
Dawn is a warm, down-to-earth, compassionate therapist with a sense of humor who believes some of the best therapeutic moments happen when people finally feel comfortable enough to just be themselves. There may be tears. There may be laughter. There may even be an occasional, “Well…that definitely didn’t go how I planned". And that’s okay.
There’s no expectation that you must come to therapy knowing exactly what to say. Bring the doubts, overthinking, anxiety, relationship struggles, bad days, good days, endless “what ifs,” questionable life decisions, and even the “Honestly, I have no idea what I want to talk about today.” Dawn will meet them right where they are.
She works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, racing and ruminating thoughts, trauma, relationship struggles, self-esteem, neurodivergence, major life changes, and recovery. She particularly enjoys helping people understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and figuring out how to keep their brain from turning one small worry into 47 different worst-case scenarios!
Her therapeutic style is person-centered, supportive, practical, and judgment-free. Dawn incorporates CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and other techniques depending on what works best for each individual. She understands that therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and what works for one person may not work for another.
Dawn feels therapy isn’t just worksheets and coping skills…It’s about REAL conversations with a REAL person.
Dawn listens to support you, but she may also gently challenge you when you need it. She’ll help you recognize patterns, look at situations from another perspective, develop healthier ways of coping, set boundaries, build confidence, and recognize the progress you may be overlooking along the way.
She believes clients are the experts on their own lives. Her role isn’t to sit across from someone and tell them what they “should” be doing. Instead, she walks alongside clients as they figure out what they want their lives to look like and what might be getting in the way of getting there.
Most importantly, Dawn wants therapy to be a place where people can take off the mask for a while and simply be themselves.
You don’t have to pretend everything is fine.
You don’t have to have the perfect words.
You don’t have to worry about having it all together.
And you definitely don’t have to have your whole life figured out.
Just show up as you are.
Bring the messy thoughts, the awkward moments, the doubts, the tears, the laughter, and everything in between.
Dawn will meet you there.
